Perhaps the law just simply isn't defined as "whatever I like is constitutional and whatever I don't like is unconstitutional". Perhaps Redditors and random people online don't know as much about the constitution as they pretend to. Perhaps the law is based on interpretations of the constitution and different judges have different interpretations of the law. If it was black and white every decision would be unanimous.

There’s a well known rule in judicial ethics called the “political question doctrine” where a judge should recognize the case as not being an issue if law, but of politics and dismissing the case sending the parties and their issue to the ballot box. There are only two things wrong with the court.  No 1  is the types of cases it's allowed to look at via the emergency docket. No 2: The number of Justices should match the number of federal circuits.

It's not just the supreme court.  They need to reform the entire federal judiciary.  Cases need to be heard by a panel of at least three judges (instead of 1) selected from a pool of judges at any given federal court.  2. All appeals cases must be heard by en banc by each disctrict court.  Appeals beyond circuit court must also be heard en banc.  The purpose of all appeals being en banc is so that the courts are much more stingy on what appeals get heard.  It's like every god damn case these days end up in appeals.  Congress needs to establish a Court of Initial Constitutional Review.  Every law that is enacted by congress must first sit through a 3 or 6 month period before it takes effect (with exception) during which any and all parties may file constitutional claims.  This shit where we pass a law and then 15 years later someone files some challenge and now everyone has to worry about healthcare or whatever else being repealed has got to end.  The Court of Initial Constitutional Review will have the sole purpose of identifying parts of a law/act that violate the constitution so that congress can rectify that part before the law takes effect.  It will also greatly limit future lawsuits. The Supreme Court needs to be limited in their review of cases to those cases mentioned in the constitution, and additionally their power to act as an appeals court needs to be limited to instances where two rulings from two different circuits are in complete conflict.  The SC membership needs to be at least 13 people.  Alternatively, the Supreme Court's composition should include all federal judges who serve on the Supreme Court by rotation.  I'm not a lawyer, but as far as I can tell all of the above would e within congresses' power to reform the courts.

SCOTUS is invalid, but I disagree with it being a platform item for democrats. By and large most of the regression in democracy is going by without care from the majority of people. People instead are still just caught up in whether or not they can make rent or put food on the table, the culture war is mostly a meme thing. So if dems say they will roll back the trump presidency, including SCOTUS needed correction, I’m pretty sure they will lose given that fixing SCOTUS won’t help most people immediately. Following any SCOTUS news is basically a luxury already. By all means, do the rollback and course correction, but take it as a given, and focus on meeting the people where they are.
